David Lanigan | Paris main target for Sequence. David Lanigan has been happy with Main Sequence as he builds towards the Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp on July fourteen.

The Niarchos Family-owned colt lost his four-race unbeaten record when a five-length second to Camelot within the Derby at Epsom last day trip.

He holds an entry within the Princess of Wales's Stakes at Newmarket's July meeting, however Lanigan is favouring a visit to France where he can compete against his own age cluster yet again.

"He's done well. He had a quiet we have a tendency toek when the Derby and that we determined early we weren't attending to supplement him for eire as a result of there was continually a danger the bottom would come back up terribly soft and it had been continually the race for Camelot," Lanigan told At The Races.

"He's had a pleasant break and a niche between his races. He appears fine, he worked yesterday and he is sensible this morning. He'll do his last correct piece on Saturday.

"I thought i used to be being terribly clever coming into him for the Princess of Wales's, however it's just like the Breeders' Cup Turf on the entries thus he'll head to France for the Grand Prix de Paris, that is the set up.

"He got away with the bottom at Newmarket, Ted (Durcan) said he hated it, it had been turning soft. it had been quite fast at Epsom and he moved okay on that. He's a big, robust horse, sensible or to a small degree higher is not an inconvenience. He would not wish soft ground."
