Royal Ascot | Alhebayeb heads to Newmarket. Alhebayeb may tackle six furlongs for the primary time at Newmarket's July meeting following his eyecatching effort at Royal Ascot.

Connections of the Richard Hannon-trained youngster are keen to step the Dark Angel colt up from the minimum distance once he finished strongly to grab second place behind Hototo within the Windsor Castle Stakes.

"We were thrilled with him. He ran a very smart race," said Angus Gold, racing manager to owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum.

"We knew going into the race he needed six furlongs and he ran an incredible race.

"We'll explore for a six-furlong race and if he is in smart kind he'll run at the July meeting, i'd have thought."

The owner's Aljamaaheer might also go up in trip to a mile once he finished a detailed third within the Jersey Stakes.

"I'm not creating excuses for him, however Paul (Hanagan) said the race slightly got far from him over on the way aspect, however he ran an honest race," said Gold.

"It gave the impression of he'd get a mile, which might provide him a lot of choices.

"The winner (Ishvana) was second within the Irish Guineas and therefore the second (Sentaril) is incredibly smart.

"I apprehend the remainder were quite shut, however the shape looked terribly sturdy to me."
